SSEAYP Examination

Dear readers,

This technique is upon my own experience of the 42nd SSEAYP examination process, consisting of two stages: paper based test and interview.

         First stage- paper based test

This stage lasted for an hour and 45 mins; all English written questions, of course, asked applicants to answer in English, and the questions appeared this way:

 1. English proficiency test: mainly focused on writing skill such as phrasal verbs, tense, diagnostic error of structure and word choice from TOEFL, graphic interpretation from IELTS.
2. General Knowledge questions: SSEAYP, ASEAN, World history, and stuff

Being selected, you would be called for the interview process just a day ahead; then the second stage would begin.

          Second Stage-The interview stage

 Here were the two procedures

1. Interview process: There were five themes, which many interviewers sitting in a big round table, looking at only you then asking you as an interviewee to pick up a theme. The five themes included economy, education, history, culture, and self-introduction. Additionally, you were given around 5 to 7 mins to cope with whatever questions you were being interrogated.

2. Short question-answer: You would receive a piece of test paper, ten unpredictable questions mentioning science, anthropology, teamwork, critical thinking questions, and stuff. This took around five mins. This interview would end now.

After these two processes, you, in deed, may experience butterfly in your stomach every single day before a life changing result. You can also follow all update info from SSEAYP International Cambodia Facebook page or go directly to Wat Kos for the result announcement.

                                                                                                                Good Luck, CPYs16 ;)
